Teaching and learning at universities has changed dramatically since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the first pragmatic solutions have been developed, it is time to consolidate digital and hybrid teaching and learning and develop it further in a future-oriented way. With this goal in mind, the partners in the SOUVER@N ("Souver@nes digitales Lehren und Lernen in Niedersachsen") project have joined forces to pool their expertise and services in the areas of IT basis, services and content in order to meet the increased requirements in the long term. This includes

  • The competent and target-oriented use of digital tools
  • The professional development of high-quality, digitally enriched teaching and learning concepts and content
  • The digital sovereignty of universities as institutions strengthened by the alliance

In order to meet the challenges and sustainably improve the conditions for digital teaching and learning, the SOUVER@N project comprises four thematic work packages. In addition, the basic SOUVER@N project carries out the necessary preparatory work to enable successful cooperation between the network partners.

Work package 1: Services - Agile innovation network

Establishment of an agile network for the joint development of tools and support and services in digital and hybrid teaching

Work package 2: Content / OER - Shared teaching and learning materials

Targeted development and provision of digital teaching and learning materials in the form of Open Educational Resources (OER)

Work package 3: Services - clarification of the legal framework

Clarification of existing and emerging legal issues in relation to digital and hybrid teaching

Work package 4: IT basis

Coordinated operation of secure, reliable and independent basic technologies for digital and hybrid teaching
