Relaunch of the TU and institute websites

The guiding principle of the technical and content-related redesign of the TU Clausthal website is the generalization and standardization of the processes of the entire external presentation of the TU Clausthal.

Since the homepage is the core component of the external presentation of the entire university, updates are particularly important here, both in terms of visibility to the outside world and as a signal effect internally.

Clausthal University of Technology's current website was developed together with the corporate design of Clausthal University of Technology in 2004, both in terms of design and technology and in terms of content, and has only been updated slightly since then. The web pages therefore no longer meet today's usual requirements for a modern website in any of the points mentioned.

In order to get back on track, the following key areas of work have been identified:

  • Menu structure
  • Design and technology
  • Coordinated processes for creating and publishing content

TU Clausthal has been online with a new website since July 1. The homepage is the showcase of the university and an important marketing tool. For this reason, the redesign was particularly target group-oriented. First of all, the central university pages have been given a modern design, an optimized structure, adapted content and a new technical basis. The other pages, such as those of the institutes, will follow.
