Server housing is used to house IT systems of TUC institutes in the central machine room of the data center. We take care of the power supply, installation in 19" racks, connection to the IT network infrastructure and air conditioning. Sufficient security is ensured with fire protection, intrusion protection, access control and building monitoring systems. The administration of the systems is carried out by the requesting employee of the respective institution.
The data center also operates servers in a distributed VMware infrastructure (ESX server), where virtual machines on Windows 2016 and Ubuntu or Debian Linux servers can be requested.
The service can be requested from the data center via an application form, stating technical data and a contact person by the head of the institution. The agreement is initially valid for a period of 3 years and is free of charge for TU Clausthal institutions.
