Central firewall

Clausthal University of Technology's firewall protects the TUC's perimeter to the Internet as well as all important internal IT services. Institutes also have the option of having laboratory networks protected by the central firewall.

It is a Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) which, in addition to classic firewall protection, also offers an intrusion prevention system that can proactively fend off attacks on the TUC's infrastructure.
